Via Transilvanica Business Fest

Via Transilvanica Business Fest is an initiative of the Deloitte Foundation, carried out in partnership with Tășuleasa Social Association and founded on the belief that Romania’s sustainable development is built through dialogue, trust and collaboration across sectors and communities. Inspired by the metaphor of the road that brings people together - Via Transilvanica - the initiative creates a meeting space for business leaders, entrepreneurs, representatives of public authorities, non-governmental organizations and members of local communities.

The four bridges

The concept of the festival is structured around four bridges of dialogue and collaboration:

• The bridge between large companies and local economies
• The bridge between public authorities and the private sector
• The bridge between tradition and the future
• The bridge between movement and meaning

Through this initiative, the Deloitte Foundation and Tășuleasa Social aim to contribute to the development of a community of leaders and decision-makers who share the goal of a more connected, inclusive and prosperous Romania. The festival seeks to facilitate the exchange of ideas and best practices, encourage partnerships among the business community, the public sector and civil society, and generate projects with a positive impact in local communities.

The inaugural edition of Via Transilvanica Business Fest, held from 18 to 20 September 2026 at the Tășuleasa Social campus in Piatra Fântânele, Bistrița-Năsăud County, brought together more than 200 business leaders, entrepreneurs, representatives of public authorities and civil society, ambassadors and other members of the Via Transilvanica community. The event thus launched a new platform for dialogue dedicated to collaboration, Romania’s development and strengthening trust among different segments of society.

The idea for Via Transilvanica Business Fest emerged in the context of the long-standing collaboration between Reff & Associates | Deloitte Legal and Tășuleasa Social. The firm’s lawyers provided pro bono legal assistance to Tășuleasa Social Association on governance matters and during the process of securing official recognition of Via Transilvanica as a pedestrian trail of national interest.

Through the Deloitte Foundation, this collaboration is expanding into a platform dedicated to building bridges between people, organizations and communities.
