Ana-Maria Birta is a Senior Tax Manager at Deloitte Romania, with over 21 years of experience in global mobility. Ana-Maria is a graduate of the Bucharest University of Economic Studies, Faculty of Business Administration in Foreign Languages (FABBV). She is a member of the Romanian Chamber of Tax Consultants and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), UK. She began her professional career in tax in 1999 and, since 2005, has specialized in global mobility, individual taxation, and employee and employer tax compliance, as part of Deloitte’s Global Employer Services team. Ana-Maria spent 16 years with Deloitte’s Montreal office in Canada, where she provided tax advisory and support to global and Canadian organizations across industries such as aerospace, industrial equipment, and transportation. During this time, she led complex projects involving the implementation of compensation administration solutions and supported companies in structuring global mobility programs, providing cost visibility and tools to optimize strategic decision-making. Since 2021, Ana-Maria has focused on the Romanian market, delivering dedicated services for international employee mobility and ensuring compliance with national and international tax regulations related to personal income tax and social security contributions for both global and local organizations, particularly in the energy and natural resources sector. Throughout her career, Ana-Maria has led international and multidisciplinary teams in global mobility projects, promoting high standards of compliance and professional excellence. She has also managed relationships with global clients and senior management, while mentoring and supporting the professional development of junior and mid-level team members.
