Webinar: Doing business in Ukraine: Taxes
Learn about the developments in the Ukrainian tax system (a webinar in English)
On-line, 14 June 2024, 10 am – 11:30 am
The event is designed for Polish firms that are considering expanding their business to Ukraine or already run a business in Ukraine, and to people who have to deal with Ukrainian tax issues (e.g. in shared service centers seeking to ensure tax compliance of Ukrainian businesses).
During the webinar, you will learn about the most important issues and developments in the Ukrainian tax legislation and the actual approach of the Ukrainian tax authorities.
The event will feature a presentation by Deloitte Ukraine tax experts, who will share their insights and experience on:
1. Ukraine’s economy and tax environment.
- How do companies continue to run their businesses?
- How are tax audits carried out now?
2. Transfer pricing: losses incurred during the war.
- Did the war have a significant impact on the business of a Ukrainian subsidiary?
- Were any assets damaged or destroyed?
- How to substantiate these losses from a transfer pricing perspective?
3. “Deemed dividends” on transfer pricing adjustments.
- Were there any TP adjustments on related party transactions?
- Would withholding tax be accrued on these adjustments?
4. Foreign currency transfers.
- Is a company’s business affected by foreign currency transfer restrictions?
- Are there any agreements in need of amendment to comply with the legislation?
- What support can a company get while communicating with a servicing bank?
5. Authorized economic operator (AEO).
- Does a company want to simplify and speed up customs clearance?
- Can a warehouse reduce its financial guarantee level and get other benefits?
- AEO can be the answer.
6. Electronic document management (EDM).
- Does a company still have a paper document workflow?
- Has document signing become more complicated due to the war in Ukraine?
- Has the risk of document loss increased?
7. Standard audit file – Tax (SAF-T).
- Does a company have a status of a large taxpayer in Ukraine?
- Is it included in the schedule of full-scope tax audits?
- If yes, it may be subject to SAF-T compliance.
