On our 25th anniversary year, the Technology Fast 50 introduces three new awards.
In addition to the Technology Fast 50 and the Rising Star award, we gladly introduce the Deep-Tech, Diversity in Leadership, and Sustainability Pioneer awards.
Technology Fast 50
The Fast 50 is the main category of the Deloitte Technology Fast 50. This award recognizes and ranks the 50 fastest-growing companies in the Netherlands based on revenue growth over the last four years.
To enter the Technology Fast 50 competition, companies must meet the following criteria:
- The majority of your revenue is generated with technology-based products or services
- Your company is Dutch owned & headquartered in the Netherlands
- It is founded on or before December 31, 2019
- You have a base year operating revenue of at least €50.000 in 2020 and €1.000.000 in 2023
The Rising Star Award
The Rising Star is the award for the most promising tech start-up in the Netherlands: the start-up that the jury estimates will be able to score high points in the Technology Fast 50 ranking within a few years. In this category, tech companies are judged by a panel of independent experts on ambition, revenue potential, degree of innovation and scalability. Known as post-incubators, Rising Stars have the potential to develop into successful companies that stand out from their competitors. They are the future winners.
In addition to the Rising Star award, there is the Rising Star 2024 Audience Award.
To enter the Rising Star competition, companies must meet the following criteria:
- The majority of your revenue is generated with technology-based products or services
- Your company is Dutch owned & headquartered in the Netherlands.
- It is founded after December 31, 2018
- A base year operating revenue of at least €50.000 in 2022 or a total amount of funding raised of at least €1.000.000 between 2019 - 2022
Deep-tech Award
In a world driven by technological breakthroughs, deep-tech startups are at the
forefront of progress, harnessing cutting-edge scientific advancements to solve complex challenges. To acknowledge and foster inventiveness, we introduce the Deep Tech Innovation Award.
Deep tech companies require steep investment and research time, and scaling can, therefore, easily take 8 to 12 years. Therefore, this award is separate from the regular Technology Fast 50 ranking.
To enter the Deep Tech competition, companies must meet the following criteria:
- Developed own hardware technology with own IP
- Raised a minimum amount of 10M in funding or 10M revenue generated in 2023
- Being in business for at least 5 years
- Your company is Dutch owned & headquartered in the Netherlands
Diverse & Inclusive Leadership Award
Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) isn't just ticking a box. Whereas diversity can be measured in a team or group by taking stock of the visible and invisible aspects of people - like skin colour, gender, religion, or educational background - inclusion is not a static end state or one-off solution: it can fluctuate over time.
At Deloitte, We believe in the power of diverse teams, and we see inclusion as the catalyst that enables these teams to thrive. Sustained inclusive leadership is key to realizing the benefits of DE&I, including increased creativity and innovation, better decision-making, improved productivity and greater workforce well-being, and addressing societal pressure on the organization. Therefore, we believe that organizations that embed DE&I into the core of a company's culture deserve to be celebrated. A panel of DE&I specialists will evaluate the scale-ups who are pioneering in diverse leadership.
The Diversity in Leadership Award can be won in combination with either the
Technology Fast50 Award or the Deep-Tech Award. You can apply for this award by
opting in on the registration form.
Sustainability Pioneer Award
Sustainability is a vital aspect of our efforts to create a better future by tackling pressing concerns like climate change. To attain the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030, we must have innovative solutions from startups and scale-ups. Their innovative approaches result in breakthroughs that drive progress to achieve these goals.
In recognition of the critical role played by these companies and their ideas, we have launched the Sustainability Pioneer Award. This award honours scale-ups that significantly impact the SDGs through their business models. The jury will evaluate the scale-up that has the most significant impact based on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The Sustainability Award can be won in combination with either the Technology Fast50 Award or the Deep-Tech Award. You can apply for this award by opting in on the registration form.
