Deloitte recognised among “World’s Best Workplaces™” and Universum’s “World’s Most Attractive Employer” lists

NEW YORK, NY, USA, 13 October 2020—Great Place to Work® and Fortune today recognised Deloitte as one of the World’s Best Workplaces™ for 2020. Deloitte ranked 22nd on this year’s list. The announcement follows Deloitte’s inclusion earlier this month in Universum’s “World’s Most Attractive Employer” ranking, an honour it has received 12 consecutive years. Deloitte maintained its top-five overall position in the Universum survey of undergraduate business students and was the top-rated professional services organisation.

Both lists recognise top employers based on a holistic set of criteria. The “World’s Best Workplaces™” list serves as a corporate trust index, measuring the behaviours that create a trusting and inclusive environment and culture. With a pool of more than 10,000 organisations participating in the survey process, only those with the highest marks on company values, leadership, management and people, and policies and practices are selected. This year, Deloitte professionals from around the world credited Deloitte for creating an exceptional employee culture, a high-trust environment, and workplaces that are fair and equal for all.

Universum’s “World’s Most Attractive Employer” list draws from a survey of more than

235,000 business and engineering students in the world’s 12 largest economies.

Students evaluate employers based on 40 characteristics to reveal what new entrants to the workforce consider most important regarding employment decisions.

About World’s Most Attractive Employers ranking

The results of the World’s Most Attractive Employers survey are based on the responses of 235,273 business and engineering/IT students from the 12 largest economies in the world (Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Russia, South Korea, the UK, and the US). To be considered, companies must be ranked among the most attractive employers (top 90% of the Universum Most Attractive Employer ranking) in at least six of the 12 markets. Results are weighted by GDP so that a high-ranking position in the US has a greater influence than a high-ranking position in India, for example. The field period for this year’s survey was from September 2019 to April 2020.

About the “World’s Best Workplace” list

Great Place to Work® identifies the top organisations that create great workplaces around the world with the publication of the annual World's Best Workplaces™ list. To be eligible for the World's Best Workplaces list, a company must be named to five or more national Best Workplaces™ lists, have 5,000 employees or more worldwide, and at least 40% of the company's workforce (or 5,000 employees) must be based outside of the home country.

Companies also receive additional credit for their efforts to successfully create an excellent workplace culture in their worldwide locations. Candidates for this year's list appeared on lists published in 2019 and 2020.
