National Industrial Baseline Survey (IBS) for the upstream Oil and Gas sector in Namibia

On behalf of TotalEnergies EP Namibia and Shell Namibia Upstream, we are pleased to announce the launch of the Industrial Baseline Survey (IBS) by Deloitte Namibia.

This comprehensive survey aims to evaluate the readiness of the Namibian industry and workforce to support typical upstream oil and gas projects.

Its purpose is to provide an in-depth assessment of the available resources, including those currently in place, and those intended for future development and operations.

The IBS plays a crucial role in shaping our local content policy, which seeks to promote and support the participation of local individuals, businesses, and industries in the development of the local on and offshore upstream oil and gas sector. By prioritizing local content, we aim to maximize the benefits for Namibia and ensure the long-term growth and sustainability of our nation.

Based on the assessment of selected industries, we will identify actionable steps to bridge any gaps between the current capacity in Namibia and the future needs of the upstream oil and gas industry.

If you believe your business can add value to future upstream oil and gas projects, then we highly encourage you to participate in this survey.

The questionnaire is designed to gather general information about your company profile, size, supply capacity, and the main barriers to growth in your
area of operations. Please note that the survey is NOT a pre-qualification questionnaire for tenders.
