Karen is the Global Consulting Services People & Purpose Leader. collaborating with member firm and global business leadership to define the global People & Purpose agenda in service to our partners and people. This agenda includes developing and executing strategies to deliver a distinctive and inclusive Deloitte talent experience across the globe and embedding our Purpose in all we do, by commitment to living our shared values.
Karen is also a Vice Chair of the Canadian firm, overseeing our executive relationships across the legal ecosystem, teaming with colleagues to bring the best of the firm to our law firm and in-house counsel clients.
In these roles, Karen serves as a member of the Canadian Service & Partnership Council, the Global Consulting Services Management Committee and the Global People & Purpose Executive, helping to shape the strategic direction for the firm.
Previously, Karen was the Global Valuation & Modeling leader, the Culture and People Leader for Financial Advisory Canada, the Dean of Deloitte University North and the Toronto Financial Advisory practice leader.
Karen brings passion to developing talent, as well as fostering high performing teams. She is an inclusive leader, and actively coaches and mentors next generation leaders at Deloitte and in other organizations. Throughout her career, she has championed diversity in the workplace—in 2006 Karen co-founded Deloitte Canada’s Women’s Impact Network. Since then, she has continued to develop numerous initiatives that accelerate the progress of female leadership, both within Deloitte and at her clients. In 2016, Karen was named one of the 100 most powerful women in Canada by the Women’s Executive Network (WXN).
Karen is also the recipient of the ALM Top Consultants 2024 Award for Excellence in Leadership.
Karen holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business and is a Chartered Business Valuator, a Chartered Professional Accountant and a Chartered Accountant.
