Business Reports for SMEs Scheme

Deloitte Malta Gi3 Alert

08 February 2024

The Business Reports for SMEs Scheme (hereinafter, the ‘Scheme’) has been extended to 31 December 2026, subject to availability of funds. The Scheme provides non-repayable grants to part-finance consultancy services.

Such consultancy services are to be provided by external service providers registered under the Scheme, which are autonomous and unrelated to the applicant, and would consist of the preparation of either a Business Plan or a Process and Systems Review intended to render the business more efficient or more competitive. Actions financed under the Scheme are to be implemented within six months from the date of the Grant Agreement.

The grant value under this Scheme is set at a lump sum of €4,000, representing an aid intensity of 80% of the eligible costs. Such assistance is subject to the overall capping of €300,000 for the receipt of de minimis aid by a single undertaking over any period of three fiscal years.
