Update on Wage Protection System File Uploading Period

View all the latest GES news and insights

06 February 2025 - The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) has announced a significant amendment to the Wage Protection System (WPS) file uploading period on the ‘Mudad’ platform. Starting from 1 March 2025, establishments will need to upload WPS files within a 30-day period, reduced from the previous 60-day allowance.

This change is aimed at improving the efficiency of the WPS, enhancing establishment stability, increasing transparency, and protecting the rights of both employers and workers.

The decision by MHRSD is backed by a study indicating that 91% of establishments already comply with uploading WPS files within 30 days, reflecting a readiness for this transition.

The reduced uploading period is expected to ensure timely and accurate wage payments, bolster trust and security in work environments, and reinforce the ministry’s commitment to developing the WPS.

The ministry urges all establishment representatives to adhere to the new requirement, regularly upload WPS files via the ‘Mudad’ platform, and familiarize themselves with the ‘Payroll Management System’ to ensure compliance and support labor market stability.
