2 April 2025 – The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has added a new category to the Golden Visa eligibility group, which now includes individuals within the cultural and creative sector. The long-term residence visa is for creative talent and a recommendation from the Ministry of Culture is essential.

Prospective Golden Visa applicants under the ‘Creative People in the field of Culture and Art’ must provide proof of at least three of the following:

  • Certificate of appreciation/nomination from a recognized international or regional authority.
  • An honorary position in a prestigious international organization due to exceptional creativity.
  • An active membership in a notable international art organization.
  • Creative works acknowledged by critics, media, or industry professionals.
  • Works exhibited in esteemed forums locally, regionally, or internationally (exhibitions, forums, festivals, events).

Deloitte’s view

The introduction of the long-term residence visa system has enhanced the UAE's attractiveness as a destination for global talent and investment. For our clients, this means unprecedented opportunities for business expansion and stability, offering a clear path toward securing long-term residency and exclusive ownership rights. This change is expected to significantly enhance the inflow of creative professionals and entrepreneurs, boosting the country's innovation landscape and cultural diversity.

We suggest that clients leverage this new visa system to optimize their business strategies and strengthen their presence in the UAE's dynamic market.
