Two New Residency Visas Launched in Qatar for Global Executives and Entrepreneurs

Qatar has introduced two innovative residency programs designed to attract and empower high-impact entrepreneurs and senior executives:

  • Entrepreneurs Residency Program
  • Executives Residency Program

These programs provide streamlined immigration and labor pathways, coupling them with substantial professional and lifestyle benefits. Here's a detailed look at each program:

1- Entrepreneurs Residency Program:

  • Purpose & Benefits: Designed for founders, this program offers long-term residency status with an option to renew, granting access to both business advantages and lifestyle perks. Specific benefits include:
    • Sponsorship opportunities for dependents, relatives, and domestic workers.
    • Ownership rights over assets and preferential commercial access.
    • Connection to tailored incubator support, mentorship, and exclusive discounts.
       
  • Eligibility & Application: 
    • Applicants must be early-stage or scaling entrepreneurs endorsed by a local incubator such as Qatar Development Bank, Scale 7, or Qatar Science & Technology Park.
    • Required documents include an endorsement certificate from a recognized business incubator and a bank statement showcasing a minimum balance.
    • Both local and overseas entrepreneurs can apply, with processes involving direct support from incubators and expedited onboarding steps.
    • Applications will be through an endorsement by a local incubator (QDB “QFTH, QBIC, Scale 7” or QSTP).

2. Executives Residency Program:

  • Purpose & Benefits: Tailored for senior executives already holding Qatari residency, this program offers a seamless employer-led pathway. Key advantages include:
    • Long-term residency renewal options.
    • Sponsorship rights for dependents and domestic workers as well as asset ownership.
    • Access to a wide merchant network to reduce living costs.
       
  • Eligibility & Application:
    • Eligibility is based senior executives employed in regulated or strategic sectors with minimum salary requirements and work experience.
    • Required documents include Qatari ID, recent bank statements, attested academic and attested experience letters.
    • The application involves employer nomination and a streamlined process for documentation verification and onboarding.
    • Applications for will be through the Jusour Residency Program website.

Both programs provide 10-year residency in Qatar.
