Updates to Qatar’s Immigration Procedures

The Ministry of Interior in Qatar has announced an important update regarding entry visas amidst the current regional circumstances:

  • All categories of entry visas that have expired or are nearing expiration will automatically be extended for one month, beginning Saturday, 28 February 2026. This is subject to further changes based on ongoing developments.
  • The extension process will occur through authorized electronic systems at no cost, eliminating the need for personal visits to related departments or submission of new applications.
  • Individuals with visa violations before 28 February 2026 must first pay the applicable reconciliation fine for overstays. After settling the fine, they will also be eligible for the one-month extension and fee waiver.
