The Sultanate of Oman Immigration Updates: Employment Visa Documentation Updated

The Sultanate of Oman has made updates to its official job codes list. These new codes and job titles are now mandatory in all employment contracts tied to Employment Visa and Residence Card applications, covering both new applications and any amendments or renewals.

Moreover, Employment Visa and Residence Card renewals now require the submission of an attested education certificate. For Dependent Residence Permit renewals, marriage and birth certificates must also be provided. Previously, these documents were only needed for first-time applications.

Deloitte’s view

These changes indicate a shift towards increased documentation requirements for both initial and renewal immigration applications. Our clients will need to ensure compliance by integrating accurate job codes and securing attested educational and personal documentation as part of their renewal processes.

This update highlights the importance of maintaining organized records and staying informed about regulatory shifts to avoid processing delays. Deloitte is prepared to support clients in navigating these changes efficiently, ensuring continuous compliance with Omani immigration requirements.
