12 November 2024 – The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) General Secretariat has announced that the Permanent Committee for Combating Harmful Practices in International Trade is initiating an anti-dumping investigation on imports of float glass and polished glass sheets from China and Iran.

According to Mr. Faisal bin Abdullah Al Muhaidib, Director General of the Technical Secretariat Office, these measures comply with the GCC's Unified Law on Anti-Dumping, Countervailing, and Safeguard Measures. The complaint has been accepted, and the investigation process is now underway.

For detailed information, refer to Issue No. 48 of the official bulletin on the GCC General Secretariat's website accessible at this link (in Arabic only).

By taking these steps, the GCC reaffirms its commitment to fair trade practices and protecting its markets from harmful international trade activities.
