This Notice covers important information about the processing of personal data concerning you when using the Giki Zero Platform (“Giki”, “Platform”).

The use of the platform by you is entirely voluntary and is on an opt-in basis.

DME and Giki Zero are acting as separate data controllers in relation to the services provided through the platform.

Learn more about how Deloitte and Giki Zero are processing your personal data.

General info

DME is offering Giki Zero website and mobile app to help you reduce your carbon footprint along with joining colleagues in sustainable steps.

This Platform is utilized by DME and managed by Deloitte LLP using a technical solution provided by Giki.

Processed data

Your name and email address will be required to register your Giki Zero profile.

Your data used when using the Platform include your Giki score (calculated from Giki account profile data), the type and the overall number of steps that you have completed.

Your Giki score will reflect your environmental impact, including impacts at home (i.e. electricity), from transport (i.e. car, flights), purchases (i.e. electricals), and services (i.e. internet).

Giki score is visible to the individual and in leader boards.

Only first name and initials are visible to Deloitte and other colleagues that use Giki.  Deloitte will only be able to see the leader boards and Giki score and the number of sustainable steps you have completed.

How we use your data

Once you directly register, Giki will recognise and authenticate you as a Deloitte employee. You will then be able to answer various questions about carbon footprint.

Details of your environmental impact will not be shared with Deloitte. Your aggregated Giki score, the type and the overall number of steps completed will be shared with Deloitte based on our legitimate interest in order to award prizes and help understand engagement levels and the positive environmental impact.

In summary, these data will be generated from answered questionnaires:

  • Score
  • Challenges accepted
  • Challenge progress
  • Giki teams you joined

For DME employees who have left the firm, their profile will be deleted and access will be stopped. Furthermore, employee accounts that have not been accessed for 12 months will be deleted.
