Pillar Two Tax technology and Tax Governance Aspects

Doukje is a Partner at Deloitte’s Tax Technology & Consulting practice in the Middle East and has been with Deloitte for over 14 years. Prior to joining Deloitte Middle East, Doukje was working at Deloitte Amsterdam. Doukje focuses on Tax Transformation and Tax Technology looking at the impacts of tax across People, Processes, Organization and Technology. On the one hand, she advises companies with their day-to-day tax operations. This ranges from tax automation, e-invoicing, tax governance and tax process enhancements. On the other hand, she leads finance transformations and ERP implementations for Tax. In this respect, she has been a project lead of several ERP implementations, tax technology add-ons, e-invoicing solutions and Finance transformations. Doukje holds a bachelor and master decree in Tax Law from the University of Groningen and she spent a semester abroad studying in the United States. She is a Dutch chartered tax lawyer.

Elizabeth combines over 14 years of experience in tax methodological and technology projects, as well as projects related to e-invoicing implementation. She supports companies from various industries with the development of target IT architecture aimed at arranging optimized and effective end-to-end tax processes. Elizabeth has led numerous projects focused on implementing tax-related tools to digitalize companies' operational processes. She is responsible for selecting appropriate technology solutions, ensuring quality control during implementation to meet business and regulatory standards and facilitating a seamless transition to these new tools across both personnel and systems. Elizabeth also oversaw projects conducting audits of implemented tax tools, identifying areas for enhancement, and delivering actionable recommendations to drive necessary improvements. Additionally, she played a pivotal role in conducting user testing and providing comprehensive training sessions to ensure effective adoption and utilization of these tools by end-users. She works with both direct and indirect tax solutions and specifically focuses on Pillar 2 topic. Elizabeth holds a Master's Degree as a specialist in the world economy.

Narinder is a Senior Manager in Deloitte’s Tax Technology & Consulting practice in the Middle East and has been with Deloitte for over 4 years, previously working in Deloitte London’s Corporate Tax practice. With over 9 years of experience in direct, international, and employment taxation, she focuses on Tax Strategy & Operations and Tax Governance projects, addressing tax transformation, inefficiencies, solutions design, and change management. Narinder is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, Association of Taxation Technicians, and holds a Diploma in Tax Technology from the Chartered Institute of Taxation and a BSc in Economics from the University of Birmingham, UK.
