Rushdi is a Partner in the Consulting practice for Deloitte in the Middle East with over 25 years of experience in business and technology transformation. He served several banking clients and regulators in the Middle East. His work focuses on helping clients use emergent technologies to imagine, deliver and run their future ambition.

Peter is a seasoned tax professional with over 30 years of experience in tax compliance and advisory services. Before relocating to Saudi Arabia in 2019, he honed his expertise in Australia, specializing in serving domestic and multinational clients in industries such as mining, financial services, property, and infrastructure. In addition to Zakat and tax compliance and controversy, Peter’s experience in Saudi Arabia includes advising on the BEPS action items, particularly Pillar II, M&A transactions, corporate reorganizations, inbound and outbound investments. Additionally, Peter played a pivotal role in assisting Saudi Government ministries with the implementation of the Mining Investment Law, the Regional Headquarter Program, and a Special Economic Zone. His extensive experience and knowledge make him a valuable asset in navigating complex tax landscapes and driving strategic tax planning initiatives.

Jan is a Partner based within the International and M&A Tax team in Deloitte, Dubai. He has over 15 years of experience within direct and international taxation and transferred from Deloitte Singapore (and Deloitte Switzerland previously) to the UAE in 2016. Jan has substantial experience with inbound investments and structuring, providing tax and transfer pricing advisory in relation the relocation/set-up of companies, transfer of functions (IP and holding company), set-up of principal structures, permanent establishment analysis, application of tax holidays, tax planning around cash repatriation, treaty application and transfer pricing. Jan also has experience in negotiating and obtaining many advance tax rulings with the Swiss tax authorities Jan advises Middle Eastern multinationals regarding their legal and tax structures taking into account the developments arising from BEPS/economic substance requirements and other political developments focusing on risk management and asset protection. Jan leads Deloitte’s Economic Substance and Pillar 1&2 service offering across the region. Jan is regularly speaking at tax event such as IFA on international tax developments. Jan is a Swiss Certified Tax Expert and holds a Master’s degree in law from the University St. Gallen (HSG).

Abi is a Business Tax Partner in Abu Dhabu, United Arab Emirates (UAE), focusing on the newly introduced UAE Corporate Income Tax regulations. Previously, he spent 3 years at Deloitte Qatar working on business tax compliance, advisory, and due diligence for global firms. Before Qatar, Abi was based in Washington DC. With 20 years of experience in US income taxation, Multilateral Instruments, Permanent Establishment, and Tax Treaty Analysis, Abi has worked with multinational corporations, Private Equity Funds, High Net Worth Family Offices, Telecommunication clients, and Sovereign Wealth Funds. Abi has advised multinationals on BEPS and OECD guidance, including country-by-country reporting and file preparation. He assisted a Qatar-based Telecommunication client with tax compliance and structuring projects and advised on Qatar tax compliance and withholding issues. Abi led tax due diligence and restructuring projects in Qatar, the USA, and Europe, and conducted events on OECD Pillar One and Two developments, addressing tax issues from the digitalization of the economy.
