Shargil Ahmad

Deloitte - Middle East
Shargil is a Partner in Monitor Deloitte and the Chief Strategy Officer for Deloitte Middle East. He focuses on advising government on economic and social development, growth and public policy. Before living and working in the Middle East, Shargil was a strategist in our London office. He started his career as a policy advisor in HM Government’s Cabinet Office. In the Middle East, Shargil advises clients in the UAE including the Ministry of Economy, the Abu Dhabi Executive Office, Department of Economic Development, Department of Community Development and the Department of Culture & Tourism.

Alia Kamlani

A leader in public sector transformation, Ms. Kamlani has 15 years of experience in government and advising public sector organizations on numerous large-scale and strategic initiatives. She leads the income security value proposition of our Human and Social Services, and plays a key role in our Labor Market Activation group, specifically transformation and innovation in social services. and employment. She is committed to fostering more equitable and inclusive program design, and to helping the government support all vulnerable groups in Canada.

Josh Hjartarson is a Deloitte Global leader and the Canadian National Human & Social Services leader. His professional and academic interests converge on the transformation of income assistance, social care, and employment services so that they are more integrated, outcomes-focused, and client and family centric. Hjartarson has a PhD in political science from the University of Toronto.

Martin Joyce

A highly experienced executive across government, non-government, and commercial sectors, including 13 years piloting our Human and Social Services practice across Australia and Canada, Martin leads teams undertaking transformational change and building growth agendas for organizations. Martin’s recent focus has been developing road maps for major transformations in social service for the Ontario Government, including development of its 10-year child welfare strategy, the transformation road map for adult developmental services, costing service provisions for developmental services, service standards forsocial housing, and strategic directions for provincial housing authorities.
