At Deloitte Middle East, we believe inclusion is about access, understanding, and opportunity. We value the unique strengths and perspectives each individual brings, and we are committed to nurturing a culture of inclusion and creating a workplace where everyone can thrive.
Insights from the Deloitte Disability @ Work Report 2024 show that an inclusive culture and accessible workplace are among the top factors influencing whether professionals would recommend their organizations to others. Responding to this global finding, Deloitte Middle East launched a dedicated Disability & Neurodiversity Inclusion pillar, reinforcing the commitment to our shared values of fostering inclusion and taking care of each other.
As our accessibility journey continues, we have introduced a policy and guidelines for tailored workplace accommodations and support, ensuring that every professional has what they need to succeed. Our current efforts focus on educating our people and embedding accessibility into the way we work every day.
Through ongoing awareness initiatives including Global Accessibility Awareness Day, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Inclusion Week, and Neurodiversity Celebration Week, Deloitte Middle East is deepening understanding and allyship. In collaboration with ProAbled, a winner of the Deloitte Accelerator for Social Innovation (DASI) program, we launched an educational webinar on Disability & Neurodiversity inclusion in the workplace, equipping our people with practical tools to build inclusive environments.
Our professionals are also engaging with e-learning modules, ways of working tools, and conversation guides designed for leaders and client teams. Moreover, through our Engage for Change people survey, Disability & Neurodiversity have been introduced as demographic identifiers to ensure every voice is heard. This inclusion data will inform meaningful actions that enhance our people experience and help shape our broader business and talent agenda.
Building on this impact across the region, Deloitte Middle East is expanding its expertise in disability inclusion through collaboration and continuous learning. In partnership with UN-ESCWA, ProAbled, and the UN Global Compact Network Lebanon, Deloitte professionals participated in training on disability-inclusive workplaces, an initiative that introduced practical frameworks on inclusive etiquette, disability awareness, and accessibility in the workplace. By strengthening our collective capability to advance Inclusion in the workplace, today and in the future, Deloitte Middle East is cultivating a culture rooted in respect, accessibility, and belonging for all.
