Faizal is a Director in Deloitte Middle East’s Indirect Tax practice, based in Dubai, with over 20 years of experience advising clients in the Consumer Business and Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) sectors. He has supported organizations across the UK, USA, EMEA, and APAC in navigating complex indirect tax matters and aligning tax operations with strategic business objectives.
Faizal specializes in indirect tax planning, VAT compliance, and ERP and tax engine implementation. He has led numerous initiatives to automate manual tax compliance processes, including large-scale e-invoicing rollouts. His leadership in high-profile organizations has resulted in significant reductions in global effective indirect tax rates through process improvement and comprehensive country-by-country reviews. A strong advocate for tax technology, Faizal drives automation to unlock tax efficiencies and enhance value delivery.
He holds a bachelor's degree in computer science, is a graduate of IE Business School, and is currently completing a Diploma in Tax Technology from the Chartered Institute of Taxation, London.
