Aliasgar leads the VAT Financial Services team at Deloitte's KSA practice based out of Riyadh office. With over 15 years of professional experience, the last 8 of which were in the GCC, he advises high street banks and insurance companies in the MENA region on complex indirect tax matters. Aliasgar also supports industry bodies in shaping VAT policies through discussions with regulators and tax authorities. His extensive expertise covers advisory, compliance, and controversy services related to VAT in the MENA region. In addition to his advisory role, he assists businesses in KSA with e-invoicing readiness and brings significant VAT/GST implementation experience from MENA and India. Aliasgar is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, has cleared all three levels of the CFA – USA.
