Impersonation Alert—Employment Scams

We have recently become aware of scammers impersonating Deloitte Luxembourg to offer fake job opportunities. These fraudulent actors may contact individuals by email, text, or WhatsApp, posing as Deloitte recruiters or using names similar to our firm with the aim of stealing money or personal information.

Please be vigilant and note the following:

• Official Communication: All genuine correspondence from Deloitte Luxembourg regarding recruitment will come from email addresses ending in @deloitte.lu. We do not use WhatsApp for recruitment and will never request payments or fees at any stage of our hiring process, even for overseas applicants.
• Personal Information: Deloitte Luxembourg does not ask for sensitive personal data (such as copies of ID, bank details, or photographs) in the early stages of recruitment, especially via insecure channels. If you are unsure about a request, please verify with us directly.
• Deloitte Social Media: We only share updates about vacancies through our official social media pages and accept job applications through jobs.deloitte.lu. We do not issue job offers or request personal details via social media or messaging apps.
• No unsolicited payments or sales: We do not ask candidates to purchase equipment or merchandise, nor do we request money for background checks, training, or work supplies.
• Red flags: Warning signs of scams include job offers that seem too good to be true, requests for upfront payment, unprofessional or misspelled emails, high-pressure tactics, and correspondence from unofficial email addresses or domains.

How to protect yourself:

• Confirm all job offers and communications come from an official Deloitte Luxembourg email address.
• Never share sensitive information unless you have verified the legitimacy of the contact.
• Contact us directly via our official website or phone numbers if you are in doubt.
• Trust your instincts—if something seems wrong, it likely is.
