Ronald has over twenty years of audit experience and made the transition from Deloitte Netherlands to Deloitte Luxembourg to continue serving public companies with a strong focus on complex group audits of companies present in multiple locations and providing assurance services. Ronald participated in various audits and audit related projects. He developed and executed work plans that satisfied the audit, assurance and control objectives in an efficient and effective manner.
Ronald is an experienced qualified auditor who applies operational knowledge and sound business judgement to execute audit and assurance engagements for international clients who operate in various business and technical environments.
Ronald participated in various financial audits, sustainability indicator audits and audit related projects. He performed and managed several external non-financial and sustainability audits at large listed international companies. Ronald designed and executed effective assurance plans for sustainability indicators in accordance with globally used ISAE3000 standard.
Ronald is part of the Deloitte Luxembourg Sustainability Services team with a focus on assurance projects and part of the ESG Committee at the Luxembourg Institut des Réviseurs d’Entreprises (“IRE”).
Ronald is known for being innovative (winning finalist Deloitte innovation challenge, Audit & Assurance Innovation Steering Committee member), knowledgeable (facilitator of various trainings, internal practice reviewer, engagement quality control reviewer) and creative (managing audit communication matters, production of media content, audit & assurance proposal coach, etc.).
Ronald is a licensed certified public accountant in the Netherlands (“Register Accountant”) and in Luxembourg (Réviseur d’Entreprises). Ronald is also Certified Internal Auditor (“CIA”) and has a Certification in Risk Management Assurance (“CRMA”) and in the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards. Ronald holds masters in business economics – Accounting & Auditing and in Controlling.
