Michael joined Deloitte in 2006, and currently serves as Director in Risk Advisory service for the Financial sector.
Michael has extensive experience with more than 28 years in managing numerous internal audit assignments for various clients (Banks, Investment Firms, specialized PSF, UCITS and AIFMs management companies), ISAE 3402 / SOC 1 readiness assistance & examinations (fund administration, transfer agent, depositary & custodian bank, and common depository), internal governance and regulatory compliance assistance.
Before joining Deloitte, he has been heading the internal audit function of two medium size Luxembourg banking institutions and he has managed assignments not only in Luxembourg but also in the UK (London, Dublin, Channel Islands and Isle of Man), in Singapore and in Switzerland.
His areas of expertise covers also external quality assessment of internal audit function (in compliance with IIA standard 1312).
He holds both a Master degree in Financial Management and European economic area (DESS) from University of Nancy II and a Master degree in Management with a specialization in Finance (Diplôme de Grande Ecole) from ESG Business school in Paris. Moreover, he is Chartered Accountant Luxembourg. He is fluent in French and English and has a fair knowledge of German.
