Francisco is a Partner within the M&A tax practice, with over 25 years of experience and current serves as the firm’s Investment Management and Private Markets leader.
Francisco’s core activities are linked with assisting a wide variety of Alternative Investment Funds active in the Real Estate, Infrastructure and Private Equity industries. Francisco provides cross-border tax structuring advice for these clients and assists in determining the most efficient tax structure for the purposes of their investments and any other tax matter arising during said Investment Fund’s lifecycle.
Francisco works with a team of tax professionals in Luxembourg and is in frequent contact with the Deloitte affiliated offices so as to offer the most suitable and tailor-made solution to his clients.
In addition, Francisco leads the IM&PM cluster at Deloitte Luxembourg, being responsible for the coordination of the practice across the different service lines. Francisco also serves in his Global role for the coordination of Real Estate Operate Services (across the different service lines and Geographies).
Francisco is a Lawyer registered in the Portuguese Bar Association and since beginning of his career has always performed its activity in the field of international tax. Having started in Lisbon in Andersen’s VAT department where he then moved to the International Tax Department, Francisco was also in charge of the Madeira representation of one of the most reputable law firms in Portugal and worked as well as Tax Lawyer in the Lisbon representation of a Spanish Law firm, before joining Deloitte Luxembourg in 2008.
