Rachel leads Deloitte’s forensic and risk practices across the Caspian region and has 17 years of advisory experience primarily in the UK and CIS.

Rachel investigates complex cases of fraud, bribery, and corruption, leading teams in the collation and review of large volumes of data, gathering evidence, conducting interviews, and reporting findings to clients, regulators, and law enforcement.

She advises on the development and maintenance of effective fraud risk management and ABAC programmes, including policy review, staff training, fraud analytics, and third-party compliance testing.

Her investigations (including assisting clients to respond to inquiries led by the DoJ, SEC, CFTC, and FCA) invariably lead to resolution by litigation or arbitration.

Rachel advises clients on the financial aspects of commercial claims and disputes, including post-transaction disputes and loss of profit claims. In addition, Rachel leads the preparation of accounting estimates, financial models, and drafts expert reports on quantum.

Education and professional qualifications:

• 2002 - Member of the Chartered Accountants of England and Wales, ACA and FCA
• 1999 - LLB Hons Law, French Law and Languages, University of East Anglia, UK

Aigerim is a geophysicist by background and has nine years of professional experience working as Senior Geophysicist on a number of offshore oil and gas projects in Kazakhstan.

She has detailed, hands-on experience of working in an international joint venture environment where she led significant business processes around the ventures’ drilling and exploration programmes.

Aigerim brings her detailed technical knowledge and capabilities in budgeting, planning, and complex data analysis to deliver operational solutions to our clients.

Education and professional qualifications:

• 2009 – Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Kazakh British Technical University, Almaty, Kazakhstan
• 2010 – MSc in Oil and Gas Management, CEPMLP, Dundee University, Scotland, UK
