Deloitte in collaboration with the Ethiopian Securities Exchange Project and the Capital Markets Project Implementation Team hosted a series of Initial Public Offering (IPO) Masterclasses. We were joined by global specialists to provide insights into the key aspects of an IPO preparation, execution, and expectations.
In recent times, we have seen strong investor appetite for African businesses and expect this to continue over the coming years.
Our established African Equity Capital Markets (ECM) team is dedicated to serving African businesses seeking to list and raise capital on domestic African exchanges, global exchanges including London and New York, or dual listings. Since 2013, our flagship IPO Masterclass series has been helping management teams and shareholders understand and evaluate the opportunity presented by capital markets to fund future growth in their business.
Subsequently, we hosted a special Ethiopia IPO Masterclass series over four days in October 2022, the first day of which provided an introduction to the Ethiopian Securities Exchange (ESX) and the Capital Markets Project Implementation Team (CMIPT) and an overview of the IPO process and considerations.
