Fred Omondi leads the Tax and Legal business in East Africa and is a member of the Africa Tax Executive. Before joining Deloitte, Fred worked in the Large Taxpayers’ Office at the Kenya Revenue Authority where he gained extensive experience handling tax matters of large corporations. His experience spans over 17 years advising clients on tax issues with a focus on international tax, transfer pricing, tax controversy and alternative dispute resolution as well as tax efficient business set up and restructuring. With extensive experience in corporate tax, international tax and transfer pricing, Fred has assisted many companies, both local and multinational, in managing their tax affairs. He has also worked with the Deloitte South Africa transfer pricing and international tax advisory team in Johannesburg where he was involved in transfer pricing documentation and transaction advisory work for some of the leading companies in Africa. He is a regular contributor to various tax publications and the national print media. He acts as a regional correspondent for the International Bureau for Fiscal Documentation (IBFD). Fred is also an experienced facilitator; having facilitated many internal and external courses and workshops and regularly contributes to tax policy discussions. With extensive experience in corporate tax, international tax and transfer pricing, Fred has assisted many companies, both local and multinational, in managing their tax affairs. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) degree from the University of Nairobi , he is also a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

Lillian is a Partner in the Tax and Legal department in Deloitte East Africa. She hold an undergraduate degree in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in International customs law and administration. She has over 14 years of extensive experience in Indirect taxes covering Customs, Global trade, Excise and VAT. Prior to joining Deloitte, She was a Senior Revenue Officer at the Customs Department of the Kenya Revenue Authority(KRA). Whilst at the KRA she was a Senior Technical Officer dealing with customs policy making issues and operational matters and has acquired a vast knowledge of the customs legislation, international trade and taxation practices. At Deloitte she has worked with various clients offering advisory services in their import and export operations and structures, customs valuation, tariff classification, logistics and supply chain reviews, excise advisory, assistance in resolving customs and excise post clearance audits, obtaining exemptions of various taxes among other areas in customs and global trade advisory services.  

Doris is a Partner, Tax & Legal. She has extensive experience in transfer pricing  and international tax. Doris spent 3 years in South Africa specializing in transfer pricing where she was engaged in transfer pricing documentation, planning, implementation and defence work for some of South Africa’s largest companies. She has performed numerous transfer pricing studies in various jurisdictions in Africa including Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Malawi, Zambia and South Africa. She also has experience in international tax including advising clients on restructuring and the impact of various Base Erosion and Profit Shifting Actions by the OECD such as  digital service tax. Doris has over 10 years experience in corporate tax including industry experience as a group tax manager for an East African Multinational.
