Vilengo joined Deloitte in 1983. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accountancy) degree from the University of Malawi, and he is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) (UK) and Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Malawi (ICAM).
Vilengo was admitted to Deloitte partnership in October 2004 and is currently the partner for audit and assurance services. Vilengo has over 32 years of audit experience within Deloitte auditing both public listed entities and private entities. Vilengo is responsible for the co-ordination and successful execution of audit assignments in Lilongwe. This entails ensuring that work is carried out to Deloitte international performance standards. He has attended various training courses in Zimbabwe and South Africa on the firm’s methodology and he is proficient on the firm’s methodology and auditing system.
