Rakesh is a Senior Manager within the Risk Advisory team in Deloitte East Africa, with a primary focus on cyber risk services. He is responsible for delivering cyber security and data privacy engagements across East Africa. His portfolio of Cyber experience covers Cyber Security Governance, Vulnerability Management, Network Security, Security Operations, Penetration Testing, Application system security, Security Architecture, Source code security/verification, and Data Privacy.
He has over 11 years of experience and worked in multiple geographies including East Africa, Southern Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. He has worked with clients from various industries including Financial Services, Telecommunications, Government and Public Sector, Life Sciences among others.
Rakesh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and is a Certified Blockchain Expert. He is also an ISO 27001 Lead Auditor. He has also completed multiple Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) trainings on various security technologies including Checkmarx, F5, HP and Iraje.
