Rebecca Muriuki

Rebecca leads the Financial Institutions Services Team for Deloitte East Africa that provides actuarial solutions. She is a qualified actuary and a Fellow of the Actuarial Society of South Africa, and a Chartered Enterprise Risk Actuary (2015). She is also a member of the global association of Risk Professionals - Financial Risk Manager (2016).

She has over eight years of actuarial expertise in International Financial Reporting Standards implementations and harmonization, Actuarial valuations and reviews in both general and life insurance, Credit advisory and risk-based pricing including insurance and banking.

Her vast experience has seen her serve as an appointed actuary for 2 insurance companies in East Africa. She has worked on Actuarial and policyholder liability reviews for two Tier 1 insurance companies in South Africa, SAM Review, Gap Assessment and Implementation support for South African Insurer, Strategy implementation for a tier 1 insurance client in East Africa and IFRS 9 implementations for banking clients in East and Southern Africa.

She continues serving the FSI industry, bringing in her vast experience and globally accepted best practices to offer quality solutions for her clients.
