Lillian is a Partner in the Tax and Legal department in Deloitte East Africa. She hold an undergraduate degree in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in International customs law and administration. She has over 14 years of extensive experience in Indirect taxes covering Customs, Global trade, Excise and VAT.
Prior to joining Deloitte, She was a Senior Revenue Officer at the Customs Department of the Kenya Revenue Authority(KRA). Whilst at the KRA she was a Senior Technical Officer dealing with customs policy making issues and operational matters and has acquired a vast knowledge of the customs legislation, international trade and taxation practices.
At Deloitte she has worked with various clients offering advisory services in their import and export operations and structures, customs valuation, tariff classification, logistics and supply chain reviews, excise advisory, assistance in resolving customs and excise post clearance audits, obtaining exemptions of various taxes among other areas in customs and global trade advisory services.
