Irena Pichola has more than 20 years of professional experience in sustainability, climate change, economics, and public sector. She is a partner at Deloitte, responsible for the Sustainability & Economics Consulting Central Europe practice (17 countries across Central Europe) which she established and developed over the years. During this time, Irena delivered more than 1000 assignments of different kinds for both public and private sector advising on strategic transformations, decarbonization, stakeholder management, and disclosures to name a few. She is heavily involved in the business-government cooperation related to sustainability challenges and led flagship projects involving national priorities and strategy related to sustainability.
Apart from acting as the Lead of Global Climate Action & Sustainability Bold Play for the Public Sector, Pichola is also leading Sustainability/Climate EU Account strategy coordinating for all 27 member states. She is an author of many publications in the area of sustainable development and keynote speaker at international forums. For the last 15 years, a board member of the Responsible Business Forum and a lecturer at post-diploma studies on sustainability and climate change. She has completed the prestigious Advance Management Program at IESE Business School and has a certificate of completion of the Future Leaders Program organized by the World Business Council of Sustainable Development.
