Maurice is a Senior Manager in Deloitte Kenya with close to 11 years of experience in tax.
He has advised on numerous tax issues including advisories on entity set-ups, business reconstructions and exits/ divestures. He has also been involved in numerous tax compliance assignments, tax health checks and resolution of revenue authority disputes.
Maurice manages and executes due diligence engagements, making use of, and coordinating, the necessary resources within the mergers and acquisition (M&A) team, other Deloitte Kenya tax teams, as well as teams in other jurisdictions, to deliver quality reporting within required timeframes.
He has managed and provided assistance and advice on several client mergers and restructuring projects.
He also provides ad-hoc advice to clients on Value-Added Tax, withholding taxes and employee taxes in consultation with other Deloitte specialists.
Maurice has previously worked for EY Kenya and PwC Kenya. He is a Certified Public Accountant (Kenya) and holds a Master of Business Administration and BSc. Industrial Chemistry.
