Rajat is a Managing Director at the International Tax and M&A practice in Tokyo. He began his career in India (2006) and has spent majority of his working years advising Japanese companies. He has been with Deloitte Tohmatsu Tax Co. since 2017 and handles large M&A/ restructuring assignments. 

Rajat covers a broad cross-section of international tax matters - including M&A taxation, Permanent establishments, Tax treaties/ MLI, BEPS, CFC’s, Foreign tax credit etc., and also helps inbound clients in understanding local tax laws.

Rajat received his undergraduate degrees in Commerce [B.Com(H)] and Law [LL.B.] from India and is a licensed Chartered Accountant.
