Problem

  • The client wanted to understand the presence of any unconscious bias in their processes, policies, and communications to design DEI interventions.

Approach

  • Deloitte screened 100+ documents (policies, leadership communications) to identify any biased language tone detected in any of them. It also conducted a DIAT assessment for the executive group to identify the presence of intrinsic bias.

Outcome

  • As a result of the analysis, a few policy documents were revised with inclusive language and tone, and recommendations were presented to decrease intrinsic bias.
