Oliver Holt, Director of Financial Reporting Services, Ireland Involved in an accounting technical role since 1994, joining Deloitte in 2007. Responsibilities include GAAP (IFRS and Irish/UK) interpretations, accounting technical support and practical application of GAAP in Deloitte Ireland including for both on-going IFRS reporters and reporters converting to IFRS for the first time. Also has a lead role in the professional development and updating of clients.
Gerard is a partner in charge of the Galway region, with 13 years’ experience serving multinational, Irish listed and Irish indigenous entities. He has a particular focus in the food and beverage, technology and exploration and mining sectors. He has significant experience in a range of financial reporting frameworks including IFRS, Irish GAAP, US GAAP and new Irish GAAP (FRS 101/102). He has advised a number of companies in relation to Sarbanes - Oxley readiness and attestation.
David is a partner in Audit & Assurance based in Galway. He works primarily with large private equity backed and multinational clients. He has extensive experience across a number of industries. He has advised corporates on corporate governance, risk assessment processes and financials control improvements including faster financial close reporting and working capital management. Internally within Deloitte, David has held a number of strategic roles across talent, clients and industries and more recently as part of the audit transformation leadership team. David is a Chartered Accountant and member of the Irish Taxation Institute. He holds a Diploma in IFRS and FRS102 as issued by Chartered Accountants Ireland.
Hollie is the Sustainability Reporting and Assurance lead for Deloitte Ireland. She currently works to help clients stay ahead of the latest Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) developments and reporting requirements across all industries. Since joining Deloitte in 2012, Hollie has worked on a number of large audit and assurance engagements in the financial services sector, primarily within investment management. Her client experience includes both UCITS and non-UCITS (AIFM) products, across multiple jurisdictions. Hollie has also spent time working within financial advisory on large capital market transactions in the banking industry. Hollie has an MSc in Financial Economics and is a is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland (ACA).
Paula Ruane is a Director in the Global Employer Services (GES) division of our tax department. Paula has over 12 years of experience in advising clients across a broad range of payroll tax issues including Revenue audits, PAYE healthchecks, due diligence matters, expense policy reviews, employment tax and social security matters arising from global mobility programs, and executive reward. Paula has worked across a wide range of industries and sectors including financial services, technology, aircraft leasing, energy, construction and pharmaceutical. Paula is an Associate of the Irish Taxation Institute.
Based in our Limerick office, Fergal is a Tax Partner in the firm’s Private Client Tax practice. He joined Deloitte as a Partner in June 2022 following the successful merger of his Ennis-based tax advisory practice, Cahill Taxation Services. Fergal has over 25 years of experience advising a broad range of clients including private business owners, high-net-worth individuals, and families on all aspects of their tax affairs. He has particular expertise in dealing with family business succession, business exits, corporate reorganizations, tax controversies, and property transactions. Recognised as an astute, high-level strategic thinker, Fergal is a highly respected and trusted advisor to his clients.
