The Department of Applied Informatics, School of Information Sciences, at the University of Macedonia and Deloitte have launched the first Professional MSc Program in "Enterprise Software Systems Development", a fully state - accredited master’s degree, co-developed and funded by Deloitte.
Combining the academic excellence of the University of Macedonia with Deloitte Competence Center's extensive industry expertise, this innovative MSc program offers non-IT graduates the opportunity to reskill, convert their qualifications, and transition into IT professionals with a competitive edge in the global job market.
Deloitte’s shared goal with the University of Macedonia is not merely to create another MSc program in Informatics, but to offer a reskilling and conversion opportunity for the unemployed and university graduates. The program will provide specialized knowledge in cutting-edge technologies, and skills for developing and utilizing software systems in enterprise environments, while also emphasizing the development of soft skills. Graduates will develop a solid scientific foundation and build a comprehensive, up-to-date and well-rounded professional profile, equipping them to excel in an ever-evolving work environment.
The creation of the Program is the result of the long-standing collaboration between the University of Macedonia and the Deloitte Competence Center, further reinforcing the commitment of the latter to enhance and significantly develop the IT workforce, and reduce the skills gap in the labor market, both in Thessaloniki and across the country.
With a focus on inclusivity, Deloitte prioritized making this opportunity highly accessible. To this end, it covers the majority of the tuition fees (leaving only a nominal amount to be paid by the students), and offers the potential for immediate employment to graduates who successfully complete the required selection processes.
