He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Athens University of Economics and Business. His career spans banking, policy, and consulting. He has worked at the International Monetary Fund, covering financial stability in Greece and working with senior policymakers through the country's adjustment years. Earlier, he worked on macroeconomic modeling and forecasting at Alpha Bank and in other related consulting roles. His academic research runs alongside his industry work. He has published on macro-financial linkages and financial stability in international journals and presented at a number of conferences across Europe. Throughout his career, he has focused on how macroeconomic conditions influence the way banks measure and manage risk, and how they align with evolving regulatory expectations.
