As we mark a decade of centralized European banking supervision, it is an opportune moment to reflect on the journey of the Greek Banking sector under the supervision of the Single Supervisory Mechanism (SSM) since 2014, and to exchange views on the current situation and upcoming challenges.
On that respect, the Conference “A Decade of Centralized Banking Supervision: Impact, Lessons Learned, and Ongoing Challenges for the (Greek) Banking Sector”, took place on Friday 7 June 2024, from 09:00 AM to 14:00 PM at the Acropolis Museum in Athens, organized by Deloitte Greece in co-operation with the Deloitte’s Banking Union Centre in Frankfurt (BUCF).
The conference brought together executives from regulatory authorities, the Banking Industry, and representatives from our Deloitte BUCF network. We discussed current trends in Banking Supervision at EU – wide level and analysed how they contribute in shaping the present and future of the Banking Industry.
