2023 Ghana Budget Statement and Economic Policy

Summary of budget statement & Deloitte views

The Minister of Finance, Hon. Ken Ofori-Atta, presented the 2023 Budget Statement and Economic Policy of the Government of Ghana to the Parliament of Ghana on 24 November 2022. The 2023 Budget Statement was under theme “Restoring and Sustaining Macroeconomic Stability and Resilience through Inclusive Growth & Value Addition”. 

The fiscal policies presented in the 2023 Budget Statement seeks to restore macroeconomic stability and boost investors' confidence by increasing the domestic revenue base, reducing government expenditure, and reviewing the tax laws to block leakages of tax revenue.
