What made you apply for the Trainee position?

I applied to Deloitte because I wanted to gain diverse project experience and learn from different client engagements. Additionally, I felt that consulting offers a steep learning curve and concrete insights beyond what I had learned during my studies. Deloitte appealed to me as a workplace that offers versatile tasks and where I could challenge myself. These expectations have definitely been met.
 

What has been the most surprising aspect of working at Deloitte?

At Deloitte, there is a strong culture of working across team boundaries and a flat hierarchy. Client engagements often require truly diverse skill sets, and already during the Trainee program, I had the opportunity to learn from Deloitte professionals from different units, teams, and backgrounds. I have been positively surprised by how quickly my own Deloitte network has grown since the very beginning of the trainee program.
 

Describe what your typical workday consists of or looks like?

My workdays are often highly diverse. The primary focus is on client engagements and their varied tasks, which ensure that no two workdays are the same. Additionally, my workdays may include activities such as proposal work, preparing discussion materials, practice development, and various internal tasks. Beyond interesting tasks, however, what truly makes a good workday are my colleagues and the joyful moments spent with them.
 

What has been the most surprising learning experience during your
Trainee period?

I had the opportunity to learn in depth about industries, companies, and functions that I knew very little about. Consulting provides a comprehensive view of diverse companies and the topics they work with.
 

What kind of support have you received during the period (from your
colleagues, coach, leaders)?

Regarding project-related matters, the quickest support is often found from other project team members or the engagement manager. For other practical matters, it is easy to get help from, for example, my coach or team colleagues. They have often faced similar challenges themselves and are willing to help. The atmosphere is extremely encouraging and supports everyone's development and collaborative work.
 

What aspects of Deloitte’s culture make it a welcoming place for new
trainees?

Deloitte's culture is positive, helpful, and characterised by a flat hierarchy. Trainee development and providing diverse experiences are seen as important and are prioritised, and trainees are viewed as valuable team members who are given responsibility from the start. There is good team spirit among the trainees, and many fun activities, such as Trainee Sits, have been organised.
