What kind of projects have you had the opportunity to work on? What has been your role in those?  

During my Trainee period, I have had the opportunity to work on diverse assignments across various companies and industries. This exposure has deepened my understanding of both auditing practices and business operations. From day one, I have been actively involved across all aspects of the audit process, including client visits.  

What expectations did you have for the Trainee period? How have they met?

Starting during the busy season without any prior auditing experience was nerve-wracking at first, but I quickly discovered that support was always available—even in the mids of the rush. The work environment is positive, and the variety of teams and clients across different assignments keeps my workdays engaging. It has been nice to notice that I can turn to anyone for help whenever needed. 

Describe what your typical workday consists of or looks like?  

Days vary depending on the assignment. At Deloitte, you get to work with diverse companies, and you can express preferences based on your interests – whether you'd prefer larger listed companies or smaller ones. A typical day includes auditing various items, team status meetings, and occasional client visits.  

What has been the best thing about working at Deloitte?  

The work atmosphere and colleagues stand out most. What I have appreciated is the balance between responsibility and support. From day one, you are trusted with meaningful work, yet help is always accessible. It's also been valuable having other Trainees in the same situation. We have built genuine friendships.  

Deloitte's hobby clubs also deserve a mention! My personal favorites are the run club and tribe, which have helped me connect with new people.  

How have your leaders or coach supported your professional development since you joined Deloitte?  

On day one, I was assigned a buddy and coach to support my onboarding. My buddy helped me navigate the organization and understand practical processes at Deloitte during those initial days. My coach focuses on career development and planning, and we meet regularly to discuss progress and next steps.  

In what ways do our leaders encourage continuous learning and growth?  

In coaching sessions, we define personalized goals and create a development roadmap. Regular training programs support continuous learning, while varied assignments expose me to new audit areas and different approaches to familiar items. This combination ensures ongoing skill development.
