  Tom is Dean of Deloitte University EMEA, and leads the strategic alignment and collaboration with the region’s member firms, businesses, and global stakeholders.

  Coaching and developing talent has been a key theme throughout Tom’s career. He believes in giving people both support and healthy challenges to help them realise their full potential. His work at DU EMEA is based on his passion to make an impact that matters on the development of our people by offering them an exceptional, inspiring development experience.

  Tom began his career in Global Employer Services (GES), serving large multinationals and building strong and trusted relationships with his clients. With GES being a global business, Tom has throughout his career worked in close cooperation with colleagues and client contacts around the world, which has supported his borderless mindset.

  He has taken on various management roles at Deloitte Belgium in his career, combined with client-facing responsibilities, some of which include GES leader (2006 – 2016), Talent Managing Partner and Executive Committee member (2008 – 2016) and Tax & Legal Managing Partner (2016 – 2020). In the Deloitte network, Tom also served as GES leader for the EMEA region (2011 – 2015) and on the Tax & Legal Executive for Deloitte North and South Europe.

  Tom has consistently taken on roles where he can contribute to Deloitte’s long-term future success, inspired by a true sense of stewardship. Some examples of his contribution are the introduction of a coaching culture, sponsoring innovation, sustainability and mobility, and has been a long term champion of diversity and inclusion.
