Biography :
Deepa is a Partner with the Deloitte Risk Advisory practice with 23 years of experience providing Cyber Security and Technology controls Advisory. She has specific experience in working on IT Controls Advisory, Enterprise Governance, Risk and Cyber Strategy and compliance related work for Oil and Gas and Industrial products clients in India.
She leads the Clients and Industries program for Risk Advisory in India and key initiatives on the Energy Resources and Industrial product clients. Has experience in leading engagements in the Cyber controls space in two of the large global Oil & Gas clients which have their global in-house centres in India. Works with Global Strategic clients in the oil and Gas and industrial products clients.
She has been leading engagements on integrated compliance including standards with respective to Industrial products (IEC 62443) and plant security.
She has experience in performing Controls advisory/ Assurance work across the three lines of Défense. Helped organization in the controls transformation journey. Worked across various ERP and GRC platforms in SAP, S4/Hana and other ERPs. Has written Thought Papers on Future of IT Controls, Next Generation Controls (More Automation and More Monitoring), Integrated compliance and continuous monitoring and published articles in leading journals on Cyber Security and Privacy space.
Selected project experience:
Oil & Gas Company: Leads a 30-member team to provide Cyber Controls Transformation related work for one of the large Oil and Gas company. The work covers Controls Scoping, Design and operating testing across various technology platforms that is used across the various business of the Company.
Leads an engagement for a large Oil and Gas company to setup the Line of Defense 1 (LoD 1) and defined the Cyber controls, IT Compliance. This engagement requires to work with the business to understand the IT Compliance requirements and advice in implementation and design of Controls.
Industrial Products Company: Leads a large SOX advisory work and controls transformation related work for a large Industrial products company. The SOX controls across 65 countries are tested for Test of design and operating effectiveness across the various Business process and IT controls. As part of the engagement. She has also helped the client in Controls rationalization and controls transformation.
Manage relationship for large Industrial products clients to setup their Cyber Fusion center in India.
