The German offshore wind industry is slowly gaining momentum, following the change of government. Even though the original expansion targets of 30 GW by 2030 will no longer be achieved, the long-term expansion targets envisage an increase in capacity from the current level of around 10 GW to 70 GW by 2045.
This growth offers numerous opportunities for the maritime industry, such as shipyards, ports, and of course shipowners. In addition to the owners and operators of construction, maintenance, and supply vessels, multi-purpose and heavy-lift shipping also benefits from the transport of wind farm components.
Together with our guests and industry experts, we will discuss the opportunities and challenges of the offshore wind industry over a hearty breakfast.
