At the Munich Security Conference (MSC) political, military, and business leaders from around the globe as well as non-governmental organizations and experts on security-related topics gather for speeches and high-level debates on the most important current issues relating to global security and stability. Deloitte, as one of the partners of MSC, will host a variety of exclusive events together with experts on Security, Economics, and Demographics, and major stakeholders from governmental institutions and leading corporations.

This year’s Munich Security Conference (MSC) will take place from 16 to 18 February 2024 in the center of Munich. As one of the partners of the MSC, Deloitte will have a prominent, dedicated venue at the heart of the action: Located near the MSC, the Deloitte Lounge is the place to connect with leaders, speakers, and innovative solutions.

We are in close dialogue and cooperation with global businesses, organizations, government institutions, and experts to develop frameworks, ideas, and solutions to address some of the world's most pressing and complex challenges such as digitalization, demographic change, decarbonization, and many others which have an impact on security and social stability.

Joe Ucuzoglu is the Deloitte Global CEO, leading the largest professional services organization in the world. With more than 450,000 professionals and over $65 billion in revenue, Deloitte serves a broad cross-section of the largest corporations and governmental agencies around the world. Joe remains actively engaged with many clients as well as a range of external stakeholders, working to ensure that we are consistently leveraging the full breadth of Deloitte to deliver impactful results for clients and communities. He frequently speaks on a broad range of current issues facing the business community. Joe is a member of the Business Roundtable, the World Economic Forum’s International Business Council, and the Board of the Yale School of Management’s Program on Stakeholder Innovation. He serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Southern California. Joe received a BS in Accounting from the University of Southern California.

Beth McGrath

Beth McGrath is Deloitte’s global leader for Government and Public Services. In her role, she is committed to strengthening synergies across global Industries and government and public services with a focus on client mission needs and solutions. McGrath has broad, multidisciplinary, strategic, and operational management experience acquired from 25+ years of successful performance in the United States government sector. As a member of Deloitte’s Strategy practice, she advises government and commercial organizations on strategies that help further innovation and improve business operations.

Volker Krug

Deloitte - Deutschland
Volker Krug ist seit 1. Juni 2020 Chief Executive Officer von Deloitte Deutschland. Er ist Wirtschaftsprüfer und US Certified Public Accountant. Zu seinen beruflichen Stationen bei Deloitte gehören die Fachbereiche Wirtschaftsprüfung und Financial Advisory. Volker Krug begleitete internationale Private-Equity-Gesellschaften und Corporates bei grenzüberschreitenden Transaktionen in Deutschland und den USA. Im Office des Global CEO verantwortete er für vier Jahre strategische Schlüsselprojekte für die globale Deloitte-Organisation. Volker Krugs Spezialgebiete sind Due-Diligence-Untersuchungen, Unternehmensbewertungen, Carve-outs und Refinanzierungen im Rahmen von Unternehmenstransaktionen. Bis zu seiner Wahl zum CEO gehörte er dem globalen Automotive-Leadership-Team von Deloitte an und verantwortete Projekte für führende deutsche wie internationale Automobilhersteller und Automobilzulieferer.

Prof. Dr. Bernhard Lorentz

Bernhard Lorentz has dedicated his career to two major goals: Decarbonization of industries and improvement of public service. In his role as Global Consulting Services Sustainability & Climate Leader, he oversees sustainability topics within Global Consulting and serves as the founding chair of the Deloitte Center for Sustainable Progress. His main responsibility is to provide clients with comprehensive and globally integrated support in managing the transformation towards net-zero. Within Germany, Bernhard is in charge of Sustainability & Climate across all services as the leader of the newly founded entity, Deloitte Sustainability & Climate (DSC). He is widely recognized as a policy advisor, with a particular focus on global energy and decarbonization strategies. In his capacity, he acts as a liaison between government, industry, and academia, advising clients in various industries such as automotive, public sector, hard-to-abate industries, and finance. Bernhard serves on numerous boards of public, academic, and philanthropic institutions in Germany and the United States. He is the founder of various think tanks in the field including Agora Energiewende, MCC and the Climate Neutrality Foundation and served as chairman of the Mercator Foundation.
