EU Taxonomy goals

  • Mobilising private capital towards sustainable activities to support the transition towards zero-emission economy
  • Prevention of greenwashing
  • Promotion of transparency – inclusion in non-financial reporting

EU Taxonomy is the first global system for classification of sustainable economic activities from an environmental perspective.

Environmental objectives

Alignment

Economic activity is aligned with the EU Taxonomy (environmentally sustainable) if:

  • Contributes substantially to one or more environmental objectives (Substantial contribution)
  • Does not significantly harm any of the environmental objectives (DNSH)
  • Is carried out in compliance with the minimum safeguards laid down in Article 18 (Minimum safeguards) – social standards, human rights, etc.
  • Complies with technical screening criteria

Eligibility

Economic activity that is described in Commission Delegated Regulations and has established technical screening criterias.

Our advisory approach

Assessment of eligibility – Identification of economic activities, analysis of taxonomy-eligible activities for all environmental objectives

Assessment of alignment – Assessment of technical screening criterias (substantial contribution and do no significant harm) and minimum safeguards

KPIs calculation – Preparation of the proportion of Turnover, Capex and Opex for the required templates

Preparation of the disclosure – Drafting of the disclosure following the specification of disclosures accompanying the KPIs and methodology for reporting
