Penta Hospitals acquires six hospitals

Penta Hospitals CZ has acquired Group Mediterra from french private equity PAI Group. HEalthcare group Group Mediterra operates six healthcare facilities, including two specialized centers focused on the treatment of the musculoskeletal system – the Malvazinky Rehabilitation Clinic in Prague and the Center for Musculoskeletal Treatment. It also manages hospitals in Mělník, Sedlčany, Tanvald, and Velké Meziříčí. The group has around 1,100 beds, and its 2,250 employees treated about 70,000 patients in 2024. In Mělník, it also runs a secondary medical school with approximately 250 students. In 2024, Group Mediterra achieved revenue of about €13 million and a profit of €3 million.

Penta Hospitals CZ currently operates 11 hospitals the Czech Republic, additional 57 residential and social care facilities and provides home healthcare services. In 2023, the group recorded revenue of around €30 million and a profit of €5 million. The Penta Hospitals brand is also active in Slovakia and Poland, where it manages an additional 35 hospitals and dozens of other healthcare facilities.
