CSG Acquired the Vsetín-based arms manufacturer ZVI

Czechoslovak Group has acquired Vsetín-based medium-caliber ammunition producer ZVI.

Through its subsidiary MSM Group, Czechoslovak Group has obtained a majority stake in the arms manufacturer ZVI from MPI Group. ZVI is the only Czech producer of 30mm ammunition certified for MK44 Bushmaster II cannons, which across many of NATO weapon systems. In addition to the development and production of ammunition and weapon systems, the company also manufactures pyrotechnic devices for control and ejection systems and operates its own test firing range. In 2023, ZVI employed over 30 people and recorded revenues exceeding CZK 31 million. CSG plans to modernize and expand ZVI’s production and integrate it into its supply chain with its own products.

Czechoslovak Group is an industrial holding focused on the defense, aerospace, and railway sectors. It comprises more than 100 companies with a total of over 14,000 employees. Slovak-based MSM Group, part of the CSG Defence division, specializes in the production of artillery and tank ammunition. MPI Group is a Czech company engaged in the trade of military and security equipment. The size of the acquired stake and the value of the transaction have not been disclosed.
